Today was graduation for the training program I've been in for. . .can it be a year? We did the whole cap and gown thing with diplomas and speeches. My DRS counselor came, along with my supervisor and my mother. We had a buffet lunch following the ceremony.
And damn it! I forgot my camera. I was hoping to post some pics here but I might have to see if my classmates can send me some of their pics. It was good to see everyone, after all the summer months of internships. There were some familiar faces missing, however. Several students were unable to finish their internship.
It felt good to cross the stage, receive my diploma, and have one of my professors place a stole around my neck. In the commons area, during lunch, a PVCC student came up to me and asked what was going on. He thought I looked like a Methodist minister with my robe and purple stole. Heh.
