I'm hooked on the show too! It's a lot like that Fox show "John Doe," except at least in this show, Kyle actually has to learn things along the way - he doesn't just automatically know everything. And they aren't kidding around with the things Kyle has to learn - I mean, the fact that he peed his pants in the first episode and didn't even know what the hell was going on pretty much says it all. I know they could have played that just for "shock value" alone, but it actually makes sense for his character.

I think one of the reasons I like the show is that the supporting characters are fairly complex; at first they seemed like the typical vanilla teen drama fodder, but they've managed to surprise me from time to time with their reactions to Kyle and their frankness in general. I'm not even referring to the various references to sex on the show - which doesn't bother me, as it seems pretty "realistic" in terms of how teens talk/act around each other and family - I'm also referring to how the family deals with Kyle. They don't always treat him with kid gloves - they get annoyed with him or say dumbass things to him... and that's just how life is in a family.

Anyhoo, I'm rambling and I lost my train of thought (as usual). I hope the show lasts for a while - longer than John Doe, at any rate! ;-)
